On the occasion of Independence Day, Pakistani Kashmiri Community Association Rochdale and Mayor Rochdale Asim Rashid organized an annual dinner and Qawwali ceremony in the local hall.

Saleem Sabri and Waseem Sabri performed. The special guest of the program was Consul General Tariq Wazir while other guests included MP Afzal Khan, MP Sir Tony Lloyd, Lord Wajid Khan, former Member European Parliament Dr Sajjad Karim, Deputy Mayor Bury Shahina Haroon, social leader Razia Chaudhry, Chaudhry Khalid and British business social figure Zahid Iqbal.

On this occasion, the participants enjoyed the cultural program and expressed happiness over the removal of Pakistan from the red list.

Consul General at the Manchester Consulate, Tariq Wazir, said that Mayor Rochdale had a very good cultural show. On this occasion, he congratulated the Pakistani community on getting out of the red list. Political leadership played an important role in this.

MP Sir Tony Lloyd also congratulated the Pakistani community said that the whole of the UK and also the Pakistani families of my constituency Rochdale who were stuck in Pakistan now their problems are gone.

MP Afzal Khan said that Mayor Rochdale had organized a very good poetry recital today and especially we are most happy to get Pakistan off the red list today because people would have to pay 22 2250 in addition to the hassle of coming to the UK. Were very difficult for ordinary people.

Former Member European Parliament Dr Sajjad Karim said that today we are also celebrating Pakistan Day but today the Pakistani Kashmiri community has received the very good news that Pakistan has been removed from the red list.

Deputy Mayor Bury Shahina Haroon thanked Mayor Rochdale Asim Rashid for promoting Pakistani culture.

Political leader Raja Saghir also expressed his views. Mayor Rochdale Asim Rashid and President Pakistan Kashmiri Community Association Sardar Shahid thanked all the guests and congratulated the community on getting Pakistan off the red list.
