Young Waleed Ahmed started the ceremony by reciting the Holy Quran. Haji Zafar Ahmed recited beautiful poems on separation in a painful voice. Imam and Khatib Azam Ghamkool Sharif Masjid Qari Abdul Rauf performed the duties of the directorate.
The Ulema-e-Ikram of Rochdale’s mosques participated in the special session. Among them were Khatib-e-Azam Allama Maulana Siddique Kausar, Khatib-e-Azam Maulana Abdul Hakim and Khatib-e-Azam Qari Abdul Rauf.
Addressing the gathering, especially the youth, the Ulema-e-Ikram said that they should treat their parents with respect, courtesy and good manners. This will lead to success in this world and the hereafter.
Aqa and Dujahan Sarwar Kainat Muhammad (peace be upon him) should be ensured to live and follow the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.
In the end, Khatib Azam Qari Abdul Rauf prayed for the forgiveness of the late Ms Ezra Parveen.
Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Zafir Ahmed, Lala Javed, Khalid Chaudhry, Chaudhry Muhammad Khaliq, Muhammad Akhtar, Muhammad Yaqub and other political and social personalities and people participated in this ceremony in large numbers.
