Emirates Ready to Host Its First Miss Universe Pageant

The UAE is going to hold its first Miss Universe pageant. The organizers of the competition announced the decision during a press conference at the famous Burj Khalifa in Dubai on Thursday. The beauty pageant was started by the United States and is held in many countries around the world, including Canada, France and South Africa.

In Dubai, the competition will be held at La Pearl in Al Habtoor City. During the press conference, the committee said that participants must be residents of the UAE and between the ages of 18 and 28. Registration for the competition has begun and those selected will be contacted on October 15. The names of the 30 finalists will be announced on October 20, who will then take part in a live show, while the coronation ceremony will take place on November 7.

The winning model in the UAE’s Miss Universe edition will be sent to the Miss World pageant in December. Which will be in Israel. The committee includes Josh Eugene, founder and chief executive of Eugene Events in Dubai, Fern Amey, a Dubai-based fashion designer, former British Queen Hassan Maggie Wilson of Philippine descent, Sharihan al-Mashri, general manager of EMAR, and human rights activists Elaf Mackie and Zell Ali.
