Online classes will be phased out in UAE schools by January 2022

Dubai (BureauReport)

Schools and other educational institutions in the UAE will be fully open by January 2022. The announcement was made by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority during the government’s weekly briefing on the coronavirus. The agency said that not only classes but also school buses would be fully operational again. In addition, parents will be allowed to attend educational institution events.

However, this requires that they have a green pass on the Al Hassan app and a maximum of 96 hours old negative PCR test. In the meantime, coronavirus vaccination is required to enter university hostels. People with medical immunity will have to show a negative report of PCR test every week. Teachers, administration staff and students have also been instructed to administer coronavirus booster doses. “We urge the education sector once again to urge teachers, students and administrative staff to provide booster meals,” the agency said. Especially at a time when different variants of the virus are spreading rapidly around the world. This will increase the collective resistance and create a safe environment in educational institutions.

On October 3, a series of online classes at private institutions in Dubai came to an end. The decision was taken on August 23 following an announcement by the Emirati Supreme Committee on Crisis and Disaster Management.
