The UAE Ministry of Manpower has stated that from June 15 to September 15, 2022, no worker can be hired in the open in the sun from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
The ban on open-air sunlight in the afternoon in the UAE began 17 years ago. “The ban is on humanitarian grounds,” the statement said. High temperatures in summer make it extremely difficult for workers to work in the open in the sun. There are also fines for working in the open during the ban in the UAE.
