The golden feat of Pakistani fishermen

Written by Muhammad Saleem Akhtar (Lahore)

The Sultanate of Oman is a friendly country of Pakistan and more than 200,000 of our manpower are employed in various cities of the Sultanate of Oman. Most of the people of the Sultanate of Oman are very gentle, sweet-spoken and sympathetic. The main source of livelihood for the people living near the sea is fishing.

Last week, Ali and Salem, two fishermen from Oshkhara, Oman’s Eastern Province, set sail for fishing as usual in their engine boat. The engine broke down and their boat began to drift with the waves. They were so far from shore that the mobile phone network was not even available. It was night now and the boat was drifting in an unknown direction all night. Passed out

The morning turned to noon and then the evening turned to night. In the meanwhile, they did not see any other ship or boat near them in the sea. Meanwhile, his family members informed the police.

Police boats searched Oman’s territorial waters but no trace of the missing boat was found. Ali and Salem’s family gave up hope of their return. 9 days have passed and, strangely, the sea boundary of Karachi from Muscat is about 469 nautical miles and in 9 days and nights, no ship of this ship was seen.

On the tenth day, the Oman government was informed by the Oman Embassy in Karachi that Ali and Salem had been released on bail.

The details are that Pakistani fishermen were fishing in the sea of Karachi when they saw a helpless boat in which two persons shook hands and cried for help. Pakistani fishermen grabbed the aid and carried them safely to shore. Brought and contacted the local Coast Guard.

Ali and Salem were handed over to the Oman embassy in Karachi by their officers. The condition of Ali and Salem’s family members was remarkable. They thanked Allah and the Pakistanis started chanting. Long live Pakistan!

Then came the hour when Ali and Salem left Karachi and reached Muscat Airport where a Jim Ghafir was waiting for them and the whole Muscat Airport was resounding with slogans of long live Pakistan. The next day, Ali and Salem’s family announced to the Pakistani fishermen who had accomplished this feat that the boat with the engine, along with a ڈالر 10,000 cash prize, would be given to the Karachi fishermen who It has done an unparalleled job. Twitter, Facebook and social media are singing Pakistani songs.
