Islamabad: Muntazer Mehdi
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Committee on Life-Saving Drugs of DRAP started the investigation.
The committee of Drape asked the federal and provincial authorities for a report on the shortage of medicines. The committee said in a letter to the authorities that sixty essential medicines are not available in Pakistan.
All federal and provincial drug regulatory authorities should investigate and report today. The pharma industry said companies have stopped making these drugs due to rising production costs. If the prices are not increased, there will be a more acute shortage of medicines in the country.
