On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the Independence of Pakistan, the prominent Mazhabi scholar and senior journalist Allama Azeemji and Imam Masjid Sahibzada Ahmed Waqar Baig Qadri organized a solemn ceremony at the Qadaria Jilania Islamic Center.
Among them are Consul General Tariq Wazir, Deputy Lord Mayor of Manchester Yasmin Dar, Member of Parliament Afzal Khan, Lord Wajid Khan, Mayor Bari Councillor Shahina Haroon, Mayor Bolton Councillor Akhtar Zaman, Ustad Safdar, Chaudhry Naseer Sahiwali, Shahbaz Sarwar, Chaudhry Ghulamul Rasool Shehzad, Britain, Europe, Pakistan’s prominent religious scholar, Maulana Shahjahan Madani and others participated.
Naat Maqbool was performed by Qari Javed, a prominent religious figure of Greater Manchester. Consul General Tariq Wazir congratulated the community on Pakistan Day and said that at that time Pakistan All overseas Pakistanis should help the people affected by the flood in this time of sorrow. But for those who have been displaced in Pakistan, we should help them from every platform.
Full help should be given Mayor Bolton Councillor Akhtar Zaman congratulated the people on Pakistan Day and said that in this hour of sorrow our heart is with the flood victims and we should fully help them Lord Wajid in the hall.
The people in the hall were very impressed by the speech of Maulana Shahjahan Madani, an international religious figure, who appealed to the people present to help the flood-affected people in Pakistan. Allama Azim Ji and Maulana Sahibzada Waqar Baig, the host of the appeal, firstly thanked all the guests for coming to today’s Independence Day program.
Lord Mayor of Manchester Yasmin Qureshi also offered help for the flood victims Mazabi scholar Allama Azeem Ji offered special prayers for those who died in the flood. Prominent social entrepreneur Ustad Safdar brought the usual Independence Day cake which was cut by all the guests.
Special shields were also given to personalities for their services to the community on behalf of Qadir Jilani. Finally, people were treated to Lahori food.
