Ex-bureaucrat of Pakistan Nasr Iqbal organized a prestigious event at Pakistan Community Center Longside Center with the title of Dastan Shahr Lahore Key along with prominent Pakistani artist Badr Khan.
In addition to Consul General Tariq Wazir and Member of British Parliament Afzal Khan, political and business personalities Chaudhry Rafiq Gujjar, Chaudhry Anwar President of Jhelum Forum, Numbardar Chaudhry Mahmood, Madam Razia Chaudhry, Pamela Ashraf, Dr Aamir Barni, Rana Tahir, Accountant, in the Pakistani Consulate. People from all walks of life participated.
Artist Badar Khan told Dastan Shahr Lahore in one hour. People present in the hall listened to Dastan Lahore with great interest which was never heard before in the history of Manchester. People paid tribute to Badr Khan for telling Dastan Lahore.
In the program, social journalist Sabra Naheed Chaudhary and Mazhabi scholar Dr Fasay won the hearts of people by presenting a beautiful children’s show to show the culture of the four provinces of Pakistan.
Consul General of Pakistan Consulate in Manchester also praised Badr Khan and appreciated his performance and appealed to the community to help flood-affected areas and flood victims in Pakistan.
On this occasion, Badr Khan thanked the people and said that such gatherings should also be held in different cities in Britain. Razia Chaudhary, a prominent socio-political leader of Britain, who works for women’s rights, said that Badr Khan is today Dastan Lahore. He won the hearts of the people of Manchester. Nasrbhai conducted a successful program today Social personality Pamela Ashraf said that Pakistan’s Urdu culture was promoted today, we congratulate Badr Khan for such a good performance.
Member of Parliament Afzal Khan said that the story of Badr Khan was very much influenced by Lahore. Today’s program was very different from the usual programs. Shehbaz Sarwar, a prominent British entrepreneur and spirit of the Pakistani Community Center, said that the culture of the four provinces was shown today. Public interest in the story of Gaya Lahore was palpable.
