Former President Kashmir Press Club Mirpur and Central Union of Journalists Azad Kashmir Hafiz Maqsood and prominent journalist of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Khalid Anjum on their arrival in Manchester, UK hosted a sumptuous dinner by renowned British journalists Naeem Chauhan and Zulfiqar Qari.
Prominent journalists Syed Farhat Kazmi, Azeem Ji, Mehboob Butt, Mian Amir Ali, Nadeem Irshad, Wasim Chaudhry, Ali Noorani, Shehzad Mirza, besides newly elected Councilor Muqaddas Bano, Welfare Worker Sham Lane, Businessman Iqbal Siddiqui and other women were present at the dinner. And gentlemen attended. The guests were welcomed in the UK and Manchester City and discussed issues facing journalism and the situation in Pakistan and the UK.
On this occasion, Hafiz Maqsood, Khalid Anjum, Ali Noorani and Sham Lane were presented shields on journalism and social services. Solidarity was expressed with the oppressed of Kashmir and Palestine and prayers were offered for the early liberation of the subjugated nations. In keeping with government orders, the dinner was kept short and all safety precautions were taken.
