Pakistan Navy ship Zulfiqar leaves for Naval Base Portsmouth to participate in bilateral White Star exercise

London (Arif Chaudhry)

Pakistan Navy ship Zulfiqar left for Naval Base Portsmouth of Har Majesty this morning to participate in Pakistan Navy Royal Navy (PN-RN) bilateral White Star exercise in British waters off the coast of England.

Exercise White Star aims to increase interoperability and learn from each other’s experiences on maritime security operations while conducting joint maritime exercises. After that, the ship will make its way to the next destination in the Baltic Sea.

The plane stayed at Portsmouth for two days. Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Moazzam Ahmad Khan also visited the ship and received a briefing on the visit.

He extended best wishes to the Mission Commander and the crew. The High Commissioner hoped that such visits would further strengthen Pakistan-UK defence, security and diplomatic ties.
