Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, Manager, Manchester Passport Section, Pakistani Consulate, is leaving for Pakistan after completing his tenure.

Rochdale (Arif Chaudhry)

Rochdale Council Mayor Asim Rashid called the mayor’s office and presented a special certificate of appreciation for his services to the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities living in Greater Manchester. When the Pakistani Consulate in Manchester was appointed as the manager of the passport section, there was a big problem with machine-readable passports at that time.

The community had a problem with obtaining an Umrah visa and a Pakistani passport for British immigration. He solved this problem through personal efforts and made Pakistan famous.

He further said that we, British citizens of British descent, and councillors and other community leaders work with the Pakistani Consulate to solve community problems.

He said that he hoped that Sardar Ghulam Mustafa would return to Pakistan and comprehensively identify the problems faced by the migrants to the Ministry of Home Affairs and use his influence to resolve these issues on a priority basis.

Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, the outgoing Passport Manager, said that receiving a certificate of appreciation from Mayor Rochdale Councilor Asim Rashid was no less than a great honour.
I am very grateful to the associates and the community of Rochdale Council Mayor Asim Rashid, who has been very supportive of me in serving as the Passport Section Manager at the Pakistani Consulate in Manchester for the past six years and is always available whenever needed. I pray for all of them that our community achieves more in British society.
