Manchester (Arif Chaudhry / Sabra Naheed Chaudhry)
The Manchester meeting was held at the residence of Consul General Tariq Wazir in Manchester.
The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. First of all, the members of Apwa introduced the new thing to Ms Nazia Tariq Wazir.
On this occasion, Begum Nazia Tariq, after introducing herself, said that she has never worked with any organization before. I thank all of you members for electing me as the Chairperson of APWA Manchester.
As the chairperson of Apwa, I will try my best to fulfil my responsibilities together with all the members and I will play my role in the welfare work regularly and practically. I hope that the members also Will cooperate with me.
In the meeting, General Secretary APWA Begum Nusrat Ahmed handed over the drafts of APWA to Begum Nazia Tariq and apprised her about the performance of APWA. The meeting also discussed the next course of action.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson Begum Abida Ghaznavi, General Secretary Begum Nusrat Ahmed, Begum Iqbal Mughal, Executive Member Begum Shahida Akhtar and Media Reporter and Finance Assistant Sabra Naheed Chaudhry.
At the end of the meeting, Ms Nazia Tariq arranged a sumptuous meal. Apart from Peshawari meals, local Lahore meals were also arranged.
