The rapid PCR test is mandatory for transit passengers coming to Dubai from Pakistan

Dubai (Special Report)

Passengers travelling from Pakistan via Dubai have been required to undergo a rapid PCR test before departure.

Emirates Airlines has said that the decision was implemented from August 27 that all passengers coming from Pakistan should undergo rapid PCR tests before departure. It may be recalled that on August 5, the UAE lifted the ban on entry of passengers on transit flights from Pakistan, India, Nigeria and a few other countries. However, visitors from these countries were required to show a negative Corona test result before the flight, which was taken four hours before departure.

A statement on the Emirates airline’s website said passengers arriving in Dubai from Pakistan, India and a few other countries would have to undergo another PCR test at Dubai International Airport. According to the statement, passengers travelling from Pakistan to Dubai or transit will have to undergo a rapid PCR test at the airport before boarding the flight.

Other conditions do not apply to Emirati nationals, but they will have to undergo a PCR test upon arrival in Dubai. It may be recalled that the Rapid PCR test facility has been provided at all international airports of Pakistan for all passengers going to the UAE.

The Rapid PCR test can determine the presence of corona in humans before symptoms appear. Other types of tests detect proteins in the virus that detect the presence of coronavirus in the human respiratory system.
