The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has updated the travel conditions for citizens, residents and tourists.
Vaccinated passengers will not have to be quarantined upon arrival in the UAE. The rules will take effect on September 5.
After which vaccinated passengers from any country will not have to be quarantined. However, passengers who have not been vaccinated and whose countries are not on the ‘green list’ will have to be quarantined for 10 days. However, all vaccinated or non-vaccinated passengers must have a negative PCR test performed in the last 48 hours before embarking on a trip to Abu Dhabi.
Green listed vaccinated passengers
Citizens, residents and tourists who come to Abu Dhabi from the countries on the green list will undergo PCR tests without quarantine on arrival. If they want to stay longer in the UAE, they will have to undergo a PCR test again on the sixth day.
Travellers from other countries
Vaccinated passengers from other countries will undergo PCR tests on arrival without quarantine. They will also have to undergo a PCR test on the fourth and eighth day after arrival.
Non-vaccinated travellers from Green List countries
Non-vaccinated travellers from Green List countries are required to undergo PCR testing without quarantine on arrival. They will have to undergo a PCR test again on the sixth and ninth day after arrival.
Unvaccinated travellers from all other countries
Non-vaccinated citizens, residents and tourists from other countries must undergo a PCR test upon arrival. They will have to undergo a PCR test again on the ninth day. They will also have to undergo a 10-day quarantine.
