Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been met by William Joseph Burns, Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), DG ISI General Faiz Hameed was also present on the occasion of the meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and CIA Director William Joseph Burns.
ISPR said that issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
The security situation in the region and the current situation in Afghanistan were discussed during the meeting.
According to ISPR, the meeting reiterated that Pakistan is committed to a stable and prosperous Afghanistan.
William Burns praised Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan and its evacuation efforts.
The ISPR added that CIA Director William Joseph Burns appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to stabilize the region.
The ISPR also said that the meeting reiterated that Pakistan was also committed to co-operation for peace in the region.
