Broadsheet chief Kave Mousavi has apologized for the allegations levelled against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

London (Arif Chaudhry)

Speaking to the media, Kaveh Mousavi, CEO of Broadsheet and a former associate at Oxford University, said he was ashamed to be part of the crackdown on Nawaz Sharif in the name of accountability for two decades.
He said he apologized for the accuracy of the record as the forensic investigation into the two-decade-long broadsheet did not find even the slightest evidence of “one rupee” corruption against Nawaz Sharif or his family.

Last year, Kave Mousavi won a 30 million lawsuit against the Pakistani government after a High Court conciliation judge, Sir Anthony ruled in his favour.

The case cost Pakistan more than 65 65 million. Kave Mousavi has served as an international arbitrator in the International Court of Arbitration and as an Associate Fellow and Bed of Public Interest Law at Oxford University’s Center for Sociological Legal Studies.

Broadsheet had struck a deal with the Musharraf government in 1999 to track down the money allegedly looted by Nawaz Sharif, Benazir Bhutto and hundreds of Pakistanis with civilian and military backgrounds.

Kaveh Mousavi said that as a result of the investigation of Broadsheet, there was not a single rupee of such wealth, corruption, theft, the hidden or undisclosed wealth of any member of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family. Found “I got a lot of looted money, but after almost 21 years of investigation, I can say that if anyone speaks against my claim, he is lying,” he said.

Kave Mousavi negotiated extensively with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He said that there was no doubt that NAB had filed cases against Nawaz Sharif on political grounds and that was the reason why he was seeking an apology from Nawaz Sharif today.

“I have no hesitation in apologizing for being part of the NAB fraud against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,” he said. When asked if he knew that apologizing to Nawaz Sharif would have profound political consequences, Mousavi reiterated his apology directly to Nawaz Sharif. “I repeat it.”

Mr Sharif, we apologize to you, because Mr Sharif you have been the victim of a major organized scandal and there is no doubt that I can change my mind when the facts change.

We were persuaded 22 years ago when Pervez Musharraf asked for an investigation against you and we started an investigation. But we saw that the investigation was sabotaged at every turn, not because we were getting too close to things, but because their intention was something else because their purpose was only to target. They had nothing to do with finding the looted wealth. “Let us proceed freely and I can tell you that we have not received a single rupee of stolen property or assets,” he said.

Which can be linked to Nawaz Sharif or his family. Kave Mousavi also spoke about his role in the allegation that came to light during the 2018 elections that Nawaz Sharif had tens of millions of dollars in a bank in the Far East and the allegation had reached the powerful circles at that time. ۔ Mousavi said the money was fictitious and there was no truth in the allegations.

“I feel that we too have been misrepresented by the criminal organization NAB,” he said. Our intention was clear. We passed on to the NAB whatever information we received at the end of the case in the tribunal in London, but they took no interest.

My investigation shows that this was a total fraud. He had no interest and withdrew any accusation against me without any hesitation.
