The Department of Finance (DOF) of the Government of Dubai said that customers of all government agencies can avail of the facility of direct payment of fees through debit cards linked to their current or savings bank accounts from the Dubai Pay digital portal.
Last year, the DOF abolished commissions for paying government transaction fees from current and savings bank accounts using debit cards for consumers. Customers have confirmed the cancellation of commission equivalent to 3 dirhams when paying for services provided by all Dubai government agencies through the Dubai Pay Portal.
Jamal Hamid Al Murri, Executive Director, Central Accounts, DOF, said that the government wants to provide the best, easiest and most secure smart channel for all government customers to pay for their transactions.
In this regard, the number of banks whose customers use their debit cards to pay fees for various government transactions and services, now these debit cards can be used without commission.
