KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered immediate halt to the operation on Gujjar and Orangi Nalla till Eid.
The Sindh High Court heard a petition against the demolition of leased houses under the guise of encroachment, during which the victims of Orangi and Gujjar Nala appeared before the court.
The victims have filed a petition to stop the operation on the drains and seek alternative accommodation.
The court directed the administration to immediately stop the ongoing operation on Gujjar and Orangi Nalla till Eid.
The court said that citizens should not be evicted from their homes during Eid.
