London’s Madame Tussauds is now in Dubai

Dubai is known for its unique artificial islands, skyscrapers and the world’s first seven-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab, but now another popular tourist destination is opening up.

Yes, London’s Madame Tussauds Museum’s first branch for the Middle East will open on Dubai’s Bluewater Island later this year.

In addition to the wax statues of 60 global stars, the museum will also house statues of 16 figures from the Middle East. Tourists visiting the museum will also be able to take pictures of the statues.

The museum will have seven rooms that will feature films, actors or world-renowned celebrities. One of the rooms will be decorated on the theme of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s film, while other personalities include well-known American model Kylie Jenner. , British actress and model Cara Delvin and football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Madame Tussauds, which opens in Dubai, will feature statues of world-renowned figures as well as Middle Eastern celebrities, including Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram and Maya Diab.

It takes twelve weeks to make a wax sculpture while 500 accurate measurements of different parts of the body are recorded. One real haircut is used to bring the statue closer to reality. Innumerable layers of paint are applied to match the colour of the skin. It costs about ً 280,000 to make a statue.

Madame Tussauds was first opened in 1835 in the British capital, London. Since then it has been one of the most popular tourist destinations.

Madame Tsao also has branches in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Wuhan and New York.
