A team comprises 11 members while a squad comprises 16 members. But police have nominated 34 people as accused in this case. I think [a group of] 34 members would be called a gang,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revealing the reason behind demanding Zahra\u2019s transfer to the Darul Aman in Karachi from Lahore, Jibran said that he made the demand to transfer her back to the metropolitan because her parents are in the same city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf the girl had to be kept in a shelter home, then it should be in Karachi [instead of Lahore] so that her parents could provide her for her needs\u201d,\u00a0 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that Dua was shifted from the shelter home in Karachi to Lahore following the lawyer\u2019s demand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking about the facilities provided to the teenager in Darul Aman right now, Jibran said that the said shelter home was a pilot project of the Sindh government and has all the required amenities and security available to the child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dua, 15, had made headlines across the country after she had mysteriously disappeared from Karachi in April but later declared that she had run away from her home to marry 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dua\u2019s father, Mehdi Kazmi, filed a case of abduction against Zaheer but when the case was taken before the Lahore Model Town Court\u2019s Judicial Magistrate, he rejected the police\u2019s request to shift her to a shelter home, saying that she was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geo.tv\/latest\/413662-missing-karachi-girl-dua-zehra-found-from-pakpattan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>free to go wherever she wants<\/strong><\/a>\u201d as she was not underage.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Kazmi continued his battle for Dua\u2019s custody, reiterating that she was a minor and hired lawyer Nasir to take over the case.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Nasir was on board, an ossification test to determine her age was re-conducted following which it became clear that she was, indeed, a minor and her marriage was not legal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thereafter, Dua was shifted to Darul Aman under strict protection but is yet to be handed over to her parents.
