{"id":17995,"date":"2022-08-26T06:05:37","date_gmt":"2022-08-26T06:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/undergroundnews.co.uk\/?p=17995"},"modified":"2022-08-26T06:05:38","modified_gmt":"2022-08-26T06:05:38","slug":"genetic-mapping-reveals-how-cancer-grows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/undergroundnews.co.uk\/?p=17995&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Genetic mapping reveals how cancer grows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Mishaal Arshad C.M Underground News<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scientists all over the world have been trying to understand cancer, which is one of the deadliest diseases in the world, for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers have been trying to figure out where cancer comes from and what early treatments can help counter this illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, researchers have created a map of the prostrate which shows healthy areas and those that contain cancerous cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experts from\u00a0the Karolinska Institutet, Solna, Sweden, the University of Oxford, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Science for Life Laboratory discovered that prostrate tumours have an unknown range of genetic variation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team saw what genetic changes take place in the tissue using spatial transcriptomics. Their work can play an immense role in improving early cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study published in the journal\u00a0<em>Nature\u00a0<\/em>said that this technique was better because the older ones take samples from cancerous areas and study the DNA of cells with tumours only. Researchers said that prostrate cancer and others like it are three-dimensional and any one sample should hint toward a tumour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lead of the study, Alastair Lamb, said that they were \u201cfairly sure\u201d cancer started with genetic mutations.
