{"id":8177,"date":"2021-08-02T10:52:14","date_gmt":"2021-08-02T10:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/undergroundnews.co.uk\/?p=8177"},"modified":"2021-08-02T10:52:18","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T10:52:18","slug":"uk-japan-israel-plan-booster-jabs-of-covid-19-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/undergroundnews.co.uk\/?p=8177&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"UK, Japan, Israel plan booster jabs of COVID-19 vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Mishaal Arshad C.M Underground News.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The United Kingdom, Japan and Israel are among the first few countries to announce giving booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccines to its citizens, in an effort to slow down the highly contagious Delta variant of the virus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Britain will give 32 million people a third shot of the coronavirus vaccine in September alongside flu shots, reported the\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/politics\/2021\/08\/01\/vaccine-booster-shots-32m-begin-next-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Telegraph<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign is planned to begin on September 6 and be completed by early December, the report added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Japan is also aiming to administer a booster shot next year, indicated Japan\u2019s Regulatory Reform Minister Kono Taro, who is in charge of the vaccine rollout, as reported by\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-08-01\/fauci-backs-vaccines-u-k-plans-booster-shots-virus-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nikkei<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Israel\u2019s President Isaac Herzog received a third shot of the coronavirus vaccine on Sunday, kicking off the campaign to give booster doses to people over 60 years of age. Herzog received a third dose of the two-dose Pfizer jab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Israel will be offering a booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine to people who got their second dose at least five months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFindings show that there is a decline in the body\u2019s immunity over time,\u201d Israel\u2019s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said during a briefing, as reported by the\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2021\/jul\/30\/israel-to-offer-pfizer-covid-booster-shots-to-people-over-60\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guardian<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. \u201cThe aim of the supplementary dose is to build it up again, and thus reduce the chances of infection and serious illness significantly.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Mishaal Arshad C.M Underground News.
